Banja Luka nightlife guide
나이트 클럽, 디스코, 클럽과 바
Most people make only a short stop in Banja Luka when they are on their way to Belgrade, Zagreb or Sarajevo. Other visitors come mainly for rafting, the number one sport in the region, practiced on the darting rivers slicing the luscious green hills of Republika Srpska. Unfortunately not many people know the vibrant nightlife scene the capital of the Republika Srpska has to offer. As so many other cities on the Balkan Banja Luka has a rich café culture. During the day people take a lunch break in of the ‘slasticarnas’, the local ‘cake cafes’. Later in the evening a pulsating nightlife awakens the city offering a variety of bars and clubs which even keep the experienced late-night birds and die-hard clubbers busy through the night. A night out in Banja Luka is not complete without visiting the local folk clubs or 'folkotekas' where you listen and dance to Turbo Folk. You will either love or hate this ultra fast and kitschy version of Balkan folklore music which was invented in Serbia during the early 1990’s and found his way to all corners of the former republics of Yugoslavia. Don’t worry, when you are tired of the Turbo Folk, you have enough other venues to choose from featuring good rock and dance music. When heavy partying or late-night clubbing is not your cup of tea and you seek a quieter ambiance you can have a drink in one wine cellars or 'vinarnas' and test the local wines.
Make a stop in Underground ((Vase Pelegica street 10) when you like to be surrounded by the finest selection of Banja Luka girls. This lively club is notorious for its lovely local ladies who like to pout, pose and "be seen". After midnight the music changes from mainstream house to turbo folk which gets the crowd jumping and singing out loud. The atmosphere is spiced up further by sexy dancers and hostesses advertising cigarettes and alcoholic on themed nights. Banja Luka’s meat market number one is Capo Club (Jevrejska bb). This is a typical two-faces venue. During the day Capo Club is a pizzeria where people come for lunch and social chats. But at evenings the place transforms into a hot nightclub where pretty young things, dressed to kill, mingle with wealthy older businessmen. If you have come for flirting and socializing with pretty local girls and maybe even more, Capo Club is a safe bet in Banja Luka.
